March 1st marked a significant turning point at SIM Switzerland with the nomination of Benjamin Pang as the new Director, succeeding Jérôme Gyger who has led the organization with passion and dedication.
A native of Aargau, Benjamin Pang is the father of three children. In 2012, he and his wife moved to Biel for professional reasons. His professional background is eclectic, having worked in a variety of fields. He was a youth pastor and pastor for a few years, before running a multimedia and marketing company. Later, he held the position of project manager and systems analyst in a software development company. Finally, he joined SIM Switzerland as Head of Communications and Mobilization on October 1st, 2023.
With this diversity of experience, Benjamin Pang has a particularly interesting skill set as a director. Although he had only recently joined the organization, the new director was already familiar with SIM International. In particular, he had contacts within the organization, and his sister-in-law went two times in Niger with SIM.
This change in the direction brings new perspectives to SIM Switzerland, an organization committed to serving and making a positive impact in diverse communities around the world. This new chapter is enthusiastically welcomed by the whole team. Benjamin Pang's commitment to SIM Switzerland's mission and his inspiring vision for the organization's future are already palpable.
The entire SIM Switzerland team wishes Benjamin Pang a smooth and blessed transition into his new responsibilities. It is also with deep gratitude that we thank Jérôme Gyger for his excellent work during his tenure, and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
