An unforgettable day took place in Biel on Saturday, March 2, marking a special moment for SIM Switzerland as it celebrated its 25th anniversary in the bilingual city. This memorable event was an opportunity to give thanks to God for his faithfulness over the past 25 years, and to rejoice in our achievements.
The SIM Celebration began with a time of praise led by the office staff. This was followed by presentations by envoys who had been on short-term missions. This offered an inspiring insight into their work and the lives touched by their dedication.
A highlight of the day was the round-table discussion with former SIM Switzerland directors. Their testimonies offered a comprehensive view of God's faithfulness over the past two decades, and a deep reflection on how far we've come.
The workshops that followed enabled the envoys to give lively presentations of their work in Ethiopia, Mozambique and South Africa. This was a valuable opportunity to gain a closer understanding of the challenges and achievements on the field, strengthening the bond between envoys and participants.
The morning concluded in style with a hearty lunch. It was the perfect opportunity for people to connect, share experiences and celebrate 25 years of SIM International Switzerland together. Finally, the day ended with a general meeting.
